Searsport Shores accommodates all RV's and offers a separate tenting area along the ocean beach. We welcome well behaved children and pets, providing plenty for them to do.

Small boats, canoes, sea kayaks and bikes are perfect vehicles for beginning your coastal exploration from camp. Larger boats can be launched at the historic town harbor of Searsport

Searsport Shores is located right on Route 1...no long and windy dirt roads, no tight turns or low branches.  Just turn into our wide driveway and come straight to the store/registration desk where we'll greet you with a smile every time you walk in.

It's a big place...40 Oceanfront acres...wheel chair accessibility to all the important places.

Sites:  The Shores was once part of an 1800's coastal farm.  We have mature white pine trees, oak trees that have seen more than a century of full moons and plenty of apple trees.  In this dappled shade you'll find 125 campsites.  All have fireplaces and picnic tables.  The sites with water and electrical hookup are well maintained, level and cleared of all low hanging branches.  The sites without hookups have access to drinking water within a short distance.  Some sites are right on the ocean, others are set back from the breezes.  This is truly an oceanfront campground so if you're in a site the furthest from the ocean...you're still only a short stroll to the beach.  For specific rate information and site types, click here.  For a printable site map, click here.

Beach:  How many campgrounds can boast 1/4 mile of private beach front?  You can count them on your fingers.  We enjoy a typically complex Maine beach...tidal pools, cobblestones, sandbars and climbing rocks.  Happily you won't find mud flats or under tow currents here so you can play in the waves and swim safely.  (note to the wise:  Always ask about mudflats, undercurrents and accessibility whenever considering a coastal Maine beach) The tide comes in and out an astonishing 100 yards so there's always something different to see as you explore the ocean floor.

Kayak Rentals:  We offer only Old Town Kayaks.  The ones that they recommend for the changing conditions of the Bay and our desire to play in the water with ease...not cross an ocean in a tippy vessel or sit-a-top a plastic banana.  We keep both singles and doubles at the beach and you can rent them on a 1/2 day or full day basis.  All rentals include PFD, paddle and pump.

Restroom/Laundry We pride ourselves in our super clean bathrooms and free hot showers. New washers and dryers are also available 24 hours a day.
